Pace e Bene director Ken Butigan recently spoke at a conference hosted by DePaul University  on the legacy of iconic Brazilian archbishop Dom Helder Camara.  One of the inspirations of liberation theology, Dom Helder stood up to the military dictatorship in his homeland, worked tirelessly to empower the poor, and criss-crossed the planet calling for economic justice and nonviolent alternatives.  In his paper, Butigan reflected on Dom Helder’s two visits to the Nevada Test Site in 1988 and 1991.
