Women in Black with Blue Scarves Know Peace in Newaygo, MI

Posted by Erin Bechtol

27 women, children and men gathered around the Peace Pole in Newaygo to join together in words, songs & prayers of peace and share in the the joy peace and love can bring. We heard words of peace and information on actions to promote love in our world. We wore blue scarves to signify the blue sky we all share and  our collective desire for peace for all. We are so proud to have completed our 4th year of participating in Campaign Nonviolence and since that first action, we have stood as Women in Black with Blue Scarves, carrying signs of NO VIOLENCE – KNOW PEACE as we gather every second Saturday of the month in one of four towns in our area.
