More and more people have come to realize that war, poverty, domestic violence, climate destruction, and the epidemic of violence in all its forms are not separate occurrences or events but rather they are interrelated dimensions of an ever expanding culture of violence.
End Violence Together – a Rally and March to Build a Culture of Peace will be held on Saturday September 16, 2017 from 1-4 pm at West Market Square in Bangor, Maine. The 4th annual End Violence Together action will raise awareness of the interconnectedness of war, poverty, racism, domestic/gun/police violence, environmental destruction and violence in all its forms. There will be music, speakers, interactive art activities, informational tables and a march downtown. Over 30 local organizations and faith communities are co-sponsoring this action which was initiated by Pax Christi Maine and the Peace and Justice Center of Eastern Maine.Get Directions via Google Maps
