In solidarity with Food Not Bombs co-founder Keith McHenry’s call-to-action for local chapters to host “End The U.S. War On The World” rallies and marches on Sat, Sept 27th, Campaign Nonviolence in Taos, New Mexico, will connect the dots between war, poverty, and the climate crisis as we demonstrate at noon in the Taos Plaza. The weekly Farmer’s Market will be happening and we will hand out literature to the crowd, as well as display HUGE banners, and wear blue scarves as a symbol of international peace. There is a possibility of procession/march. Participants are encouraged to bring signs for peace, and climate justice. We do not condone the airstrikes in Syria or Iraq, nor the actions of the U.S. military or military aid in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Ukrain, Israel, Somalia, Yemen, Afghanistan. Our tax dollars have fueled enough destruction. Let’s bring them home to construct a sustainable future. This event is organized by Campaign Nonviolence Taos and Love-In-Action Taos members.
