Women Religious Take Action! arrow

Women’s Catholic religious communities are part of a long tradition of standing up for nonviolence and just peace throughout the world.  We’ve highlighted a handful of those communities who’ve taken nonviolent action in various forms with us during the Campaign Nonviolence Week of Actions over the past two years.  We invite all women’s religious communities to join us and the thousands of others across the U.S. and around the world this September 18-25, 2016 for our third year of the CNV Week of Actions as we work together to end war, poverty, racism, environmental destruction and all forms of violence.   Together we’re building a culture of peace and nonviolence. Join us this year by signing up here!

They begged her intercession for an end to war, poverty and the harm done to Mother Earth. They also prayed for God’s blessing of fruitfulness for the 200 nonviolent actions that are taking place during the week beginning on the International Day of Peace. Sisters were very grateful to be able to participate in this prayer and said they would be using it many times.
