Remembering Daniel Berrigan for Peace Day

Posted by Ryan Hall
09.26.16

On Sept. 22 during the Campaign Nonviolence Week of Actions organizers at the Catholic Newman Center at the University of Hawaii gathered to honor Daniel Berrigan’s life and total dedication to nonviolence. They showed a film, read from some of his works, and shared stories by people who knew him.

The peace prayer flags which decorated the room were made by a local worship community, the Newman Center at University of Hawaii, for this week. The Peace prayer flags activity was organized by Chris Malano. The World Peace Day banner made by Alyce Dodge.

The local newspaper, the Honolulu Star also reported on this event which you can read here [PDF]
