On September 21, the School Sisters of Notre Dame hosted a Public Prayer for Peace in Elm Grove, Wisconsin attended by over 200 adults and school children.  Our prayer intention this year was “Together for Peace: Respect, Safety, and Dignity for All,” focusing in particular on the plight of refugees and migrants throughout the world.  For the past 14 years the School Sisters of Notre Dame have organized a Public Prayer for Peace in Elm Grove in commemoration of the International Day of Peace. This inspiring prayer service is becoming an intergenerational tradition, typically drawing more than 200 people ranging in age from 9 to 90 plus!
