Deadline Approaching for Pilgrimage Applications

Posted by Erin Bechtol
05.16.18

Only a little less than a month to complete and submit applications for Pace e Bene’s pilgrimage to Assisi in June 2019 led by Rev. John Dear and Dr. Ken Butigan!

From June 23-30, 2019 we will embark on a one-week pilgrimage of to Assisi, Italy to study the life of St. Francis, pray for peace, build community, and celebrate Pace e Bene’s 30th anniversary. The trip will deepen our commitment to Gospel nonviolence for the journey ahead and peace work to come.  Pace e Bene’s Coordinator of International Programs, Veronica Pelicaric, and Executive Director Ryan Hall will join Rev. Dear and Dr. Butigan in this once-in-a-lifetime experience—and we hope you will, too!

This is an incredible chance to walk in the footsteps of St. Francis, who embodied a spirit of peace and active nonviolence. Together, we will practice compassion for others, love for the earth, and work for peace and reconciliation as he did.

This journey will be open to 30 pilgrims who desire not solely to see the sites of this beautiful part of the world, but to learn about St. Francis the peacemaker and to deepen our own commitment to Gospel nonviolence while taking another step on our own peacemaking journey. On this trip, you can expect to immerse yourself in prayer and personal renewal on a holy pilgrimage in the long tradition of Christian spirituality.
